The
tutorials above were prepared in order to give our users
an introduction to Microsoft Frontpage and to provide new
users with the knowledge necessary to complete the most
basic of tasks. However, these tutorials may still be helpful
to more advanced users that need help setting up Frontpage
for use with a Host4Yourself Account.
We
highly recommend the use of Frontpage Extensions
when creating your website with Microsoft Frontpage. Frontpage
Extensions are a feature of Frontpage which allows you to
save and edit your website on the server as if it were on
your own computer, insert active objects like counters and
forms, and much more. These extensions operate through a
protocol separate from HTTP(the
web) and FTP(used
for uploading websites and file-sharing).
For these extensions to work, they must also be installed
on your account. Basic Accounts do not come with access
to these extensions, but our Premium Accounts come with
Frontpage Extensions already installed and ready to use.
Basic Account users can purchase Frontpage Extensions for
just $1.50 per month. If you are a Basic Account
user, and would like to purchase Frontpage Extensions, please
Basic Account users can still use Microsoft Frontpage
to create and edit their websites without purchasing Extensions
(see tutorial above).
If
you need to purchase Frontpage, click
here. If you have already read these tutorials, and
you are looking for help on more advanced topics, please
feel free to ask
us or visit the Official
Microsoft Frontpage Website. These tutorials
have been prepared using Microsoft Frontpage 2002.
The concepts also apply to Frontpage 2000 and earlier versions,
but some buttons and menu options may be in different locations
than those shown in the tutorials.
