Microsoft
Frontpage is a very powerful, yet very easy to use
program. It is about as easy to use as Microsoft
Word for creating your website and allows you to
edit your website directly on our server, bypassing
the need for FTP.
These
general instructions include information vital for
uploading to your Host4Yourself Account with any
FTP client.
Uploading
Your Website
FTP
stands for File Transfer Protocol.
This is the method by which your website will
be transferred to our server and becomes visible
on the world wide web. With an FTP program, your
computer connects to your account on our server
and allows you to send and recieve files. All
you need to do to publish your website is send
your website's files to our server and your site
can be viewed on the web instantly. With your
Host4Yourself account you have 24 hour access
to our server through FTP.

CuteFTP:
One of the BEST
and most popular FTP programs for beginners
and experts alike. Features include both drag-and-drop
and text commands, Auto-Resume, Shell Integration,
MACROs, and Transfer Queue. Also supports automatic
uploading when used in conjunction with CuteHTML.
AceFTP:
Similar to CuteFTP,
this freeware client supports: Customizable
Interface, Server-side file searching, Transfer
Queue, Simultaneous Multiple File Transfer,
and File Preview. AceFTP
also supports automatic uploading when used
in conjunction with AceHTML.
SmartFTP:
An excellent freeware client, SmartFTP features
an Explorer-like interface that is fully customizable
and supports drag-and-drop functions. Other
features include multiple FTP connections, the
ability to resume broken downloads, a global
history, background transfers, proxy support,
a passive transfer mode, and the ability to
perform recursive downloads, uploads, and deletes.
You can even view HTML pages within the client.

familiar Windows Explorer-like interface is
easy to use for newbies and FTP veterans alike.
Using its intuitive drag-and-drop interface,
FTP Voyager lets you update a Web site with
a single click, transfer files directly between
FTP servers, resume interrupted downloads, and
perform advanced file searches while doing other
FTP tasks.
FTP Explorer:
FTP Explorer is a freeware FTP client that
provides a user interface similar to that of
Windows Explorer, including full 32-bit capabilities.
This includes drag-and-drop support for downloading
and uploading files, shortcuts, multithreading
of transfers, and a consistent Windows 95 look
and feel.
Flash
FXP:
Flash FXP is loaded with features for the power
user, but has an intuitive user interface that
takes only minutes to master. Features include
allowing you to transfer files between two sites
(FXP), resume incomplete downloads, synchronize
directories, schedule multiple tasks, and more.
