NCSA HTML Guide An excellent and extremely thorough resource page suited for everyone, but especially helpful to a beginner. Offers great explanations of basic and advanced topics.
HTML Primer An excellent resource for beginners who want learn webdesgin step-by-step. HTML Primer has 7 lessons for new users and also covers advanced topics such as tables, forms, frames, and an introduction to Javascript.
Interactive Tutorial Another step-by-step, lesson-based, web resource. Covers more topics than the HTML Primer, everything from designing your site to marketing it. Information is also more thorough, but also gets more technical. Highly recommended site if you are a business and want a step-by-step approach.
Webmonkey This site contains most of the same information as the HTML Primer and The Interactive Tutorial, but the lessons are a bit more abstract. Webmonkey also offers a great HTML Cheatsheet!
THE Code Library An extremely extensive, thorough, and excellent resource for just about any type of web-related coding. Includes info, codes, and hints for HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP, and more! Great reference, but not meant for the beginner.
W3C The World Wide Web Consortium, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the public with free information on HTML and the Internet since 1994. They've been around longer than anyone, and have more information that anyone. An excellent resource with an answer to just about any question regarding web-deleopment.
Web Developer Webdeveloper.com is the internet's largest online community for web developers. Has loads of info on web design with how-to sections, an online forum, software reviews, a reference library and much much more!
