Using Serif WebPlus to Create and Edit Your Website

        This basic tutorial will show you how to use one of the wizards in Serif Webplus to create your webpage for you. In order to do this, you will need the complete version of Serif Webplus, which is available here. When you download the complete version from our server, you will want to execute all of the setup files contained inside the ZIP file that you have just downloaded. Simply follow all the steps presented to you and in minutes, the complete version of Serif Webplus will be fully installed on your computer. Once you have installed and registered Webplus (registration is free, it just requires your name and email address), you can get right to creating your webpage. The first time you start WebPlus, it will pop-up a few windows offering you helpful tips and a link to their website. Once you get past those, it will give you a pop-up that looks like this:

You will want to double-click on the box that says "Use a Web Wizard". It will bring you to a menu which will give you three choices for what type of wizard you would like to use. The choices are: "Business", "Personal", and "Club". For this example, we will be choosing "Business". It will then bring you to a window that looks like this:

Here you will be choosing the template for your site. A list of different templates is displayed in the scroll box, and a preview picture for each one is displayed in the box on the right. All of them are arranged differently, with different colors and different formatting of text, buttons, links, and images. For this example, we will be choosing the "Designer" template.

Webplus will then ask you to choose a color scheme. For this template, only two color scheme are offered, and for this example, we will be choosing the one in the lower-right-hand corner. Choose your selection by clicking on it and then clicking the "Next" button.

You will then be asked to start entering your personal or business information. Enter the information as prompted through the next few menus, and then your site will generated for you. If you enter something incorrectly, don't worry. You can change all of this information on your website once it's generated. Once your site is generated, you will be able to edit all aspects of it, including color, layout, pictures, text, and links. Click the NEXT button below to find out how!
