    Host for Yourself owns its own server equipment, but utilizes the resources and power of 3 of the largest Network Operations Centers in the United States.

    The Planet in Dallas, TX is home to most of our dedicated hosting clients. The Planet owns and operates a state of the art datacenter which offers complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. With over 35,000 sq ft of raised floor, there is plenty of room for Host for Yourself's servers. The datacenter facility sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite. HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with 10 managed backbone providers, each providing at least 1Gbps direct fiber each. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 500 smoke detectors.

    EV1 operates two state-of-the-art data centers in Houston, Texas, home to our Shared and Reseller Ensim and cPanel servers. Facilities offer 100,000 square feet of web hosting space, and each features redundant UPS, generator backup and smoke detection/fire protection systems. Both locations are under 24/7 camera surveillance and armed guard patrol. EV1 is connected to the Internet through 14 Gigabit Ethernet links from six separate backbone providers. As of May 2004, they are home to over 20,000 Windows and Linux web servers.

    CDC-01 in Bedford, TX is home to our non-reseller shared hosting servers and our line of VDS servers. This datacenter provides us with 2000+ Megabits of instantly available bandwidth, 30 Minute Hardware Replacement, Level I, II, and III system Engineers on staff 24x7, a fully cisco-powered network, 20 redundant firewall systems, and 5 redundant Intrusion Detection Systems. Featuring crystal clear bandwidth from Tier-1 multi-homed providers, CDC-01 views 98% of the internet as a private network (private transit) and is the largest privately-owned web hosting network in the United States. It is designed with 2.5 megawatts of premise power, temperature control systems, fire zones above the ceiling and below the floor, specialized heat/smoke sensors with automatic fire department notification, backup diesel-powered generators, UPS systems, biometric identification systems so only high-level employees are permitted near your hardware, and 24x7 secured access control systems backed with armed guards. The datacenter also keeps bandwidth saturation below 30% with redundant DS-3, OC-3, and OC-12 fiber optic connections with diverse routes to the internet.

The admins have full remote access to all of Host for Yourself's servers, deal with any technical support issues, or forward issues to proper departments at the Network Operations Center.
